Time moves too quickly or slowly
Time is a funny thing.
It seems to move quickly or even slowly, but one thing it allows us to do is learning.
I haven’t posted to my blog for about three months because lockdowns have had us scrambling to keep our businesses alive. There was also a tragedy thrown into the mix which broke my heart and still does to this day.
I made time for reflection and I feel better about it.
I have written articles on this blog and a few months down the line all of what I have written stands as is, but I have a lot I could add to those articles.
My eyes and mind have opened to many things regarding weight loss and what I need to do to achieve this. Many of us have preconceived ideas about how things work or should work. Experience and life shows us differently.
I have learned there are ‘YES’ and ‘NO’. Maybe, possibly, and everything else along those lines is just noise and distractions preventing you from reaching your goal of losing weight.
My biggest ‘a-ha’ moment was when I realised clarity was missing from my plans.
Clarity in goal-setting changed the way I approached my weight loss plans. It now becomes easier as I have a definite, achievable target I am aiming for.
The focus on this blog is now going to shift to what I am going through as the weight peels off my body. I can write a thousand articles on anything, but my actual experiences will be more beneficial to me, and you.
I will use the blog as a weekly report back to you, my accountability partners.
Weight loss plateaus are horrible things to contend with when dieting, but they happen. I changed my diet and added a little exercise to my daily program, and I am excited to see where I end up. I have given myself until December 31, 2020, to reach my goal weight of 95kg.
My goal.
My goal is to lose 1kg (about 2 pounds) per week. I’m not sure if this is sustainable over this period as it seems the more weight I lose, the harder it becomes to lose weight. My weight remained around 116kg for months. Today I start at 113.5kg.
Let’s set our goals for December 31 in the comments and work at them together. I need to ask that everyone reports back every Monday.
If we achieve our weight goals by 31 December, we won’t have to add them to another set of New Year resolutions the following morning.
What more motivation do we need?
. . .
