I’m back. I need your help losing weight.
Hello, my dear readers.
I know it has been a long time since I posted anything on this blog. I must apologize for being away for so long. Life caught up with me and I had to deal with some issues that required my attention. I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy.
As you may remember, I have been on a journey to lose weight and improve my fitness. It seems this journey has been going on forever.
I have been following a fasting regime for three weeks now and I have seen some amazing results.
On 17 January 2024, I weighed in at 134.80kg. On 30 January, my scale informed me I was at 126.90kg. I lost almost 8kg in just under two weeks, and I felt more energetic and confident. However, the past week has been a struggle. I have hit a plateau, and I have lost no more weight. My weight fluctuates within a 1kg zone, either up or down. I am feeling frustrated and discouraged. I want to make a success of this, but I need your help.
I know that weight loss is not a linear process and that there are many factors that affect it. Age is one of them. I am not as young as I used to be, and a day in the hospitality industry takes a lot out of me. I also know that I need to be consistent and patient with my diet and exercise. But sometimes I wonder if there is something else that is holding me back. Is it psychological, physical, or both? Why do I always lose weight and then find it again? How can I break this cycle and achieve my goals?
That is why I am reaching out to you. I need your advice, your encouragement, and your accountability. I want to hear from you and learn from your experiences. What have you done to overcome plateaus and maintain your weight loss? What challenges have you faced and how did you overcome them? I’m curious. What tips and tricks can you share with me and other readers?
Our weekly challenges
To make this more fun and interactive, I have started a weekly challenge on this website. Every week, I will post a new challenge that will help us stay on track and motivated. It could be anything from drinking more water, eating more vegetables, doing more steps, or trying a new workout. The challenge will be simple, realistic, and achievable for everyone. I will also share my progress and results with you and I hope you will do the same. Please remember when you suggest exercise challenges, I don’t have access to a gym and will exercise at home.
Your ideas for blog content will be priceless.
But I need your help to come up with these challenges. I want them to be relevant and interesting to you.
So please, leave a comment, and suggest what challenges you would like us to take on here at B / O / H. I will pick one every week and announce it on the next blog post. I think this will be a great way to connect with you and keep each other motivated.
I am looking forward to hearing from you and starting this new journey with you. Together, we can do this. Losing weight and maintaining it is possible. We can be healthier and happier. We can be the best versions of ourselves.
Thank you for reading and for being part of this community. I appreciate you all.
