This Blog: A Great Motivational Tool
A brilliant way to be successful at anything is mindset.
Something else we need is someone looking over our shoulder as a reminder of a goal you are trying to achieve.
Conversation is used to guide you along your journey. What better way to chat to people than through a blog. Even if you get little or no interaction in the beginning, just seeing your words and thoughts in front of you makes a huge difference.
Seeing what is going through your mind makes a difference to how you may react to hiccups along the way. Being obese, I have had many hiccups with dieting and the lack of success thereof.
Even if you don’t write every day, have something related to your blog to keep you interested in achieving your goals. I have a page on this blog, unpublished, where I am documenting my weight loss journey. I haven’t found a plugin to display graphs and other things, but I am keeping everything up to date.
Keep Track of Your Progress
I register my weight every day, even though I have always been against scale-watching. This gets frustrating when your weight plateaus out and stays constant for up to ten days.
I log my sleeping hours every day.
I make sure I achieve an eighteen hour fast daily.
This is all information I’d eventually like to list on my site, and I hope to find the right plugin soon to do so.
One of the most important benefits of blogging is we get by giving. The more we share, the more we learn from others.
Even if you are writing for yourself initially, don’t get despondent. Read what you wrote yesterday and carry on with today’s entry. Every single day you write something, you are a day closer to achieving your goal.
Everyone reading the blog learns from the experiences of others.
The only actual issue I have found with blogging to an audience is when someone doesn’t agree with what you are saying. People can get a little upset at what you have to say. Just say ‘ok’, and carry on. Don’t engage them for too long as it can be demotivating.
Everyone has their own ideas on any subject, and we respect that.
There will be many people who would suggest a better way of doing something, but you know what is best for you. Stick to your plan and don’t change because of what you are reading may have been successful for one person.
Patience and consistency are the secret to everything.
