Are weight loss powders and pills better than dieting?
Anyone who has ever been on a diet will know there are hundreds of pills, products and powders available which the manufacturers say will help you beat obesity.
Starting and failing with so many diets made me realize only a belief in myself has ever helped me to lose weight.
It comes down to lifestyle.
The only true weight loss method out there is to not get sucked into the marketing traps for these products and focus on what you want and need in terms of your weight loss goals.
The reason many of us fail on diets is that we are lazy. We hear the newest buzz-word in the weight loss scam, and we have to try it. The blame of our obesity falls onto others and the physical and psychological factors we believe justify the way we look.
We are the reason these snake-oil products are so prolific in the weight loss arena. Our gullibility and laziness opens our wallets to these products. The manufacturers laugh at us as the next billion dollars enters their balance sheets.
‘I just can’t seem to lose weight’.
How many times have I used this phrase myself? Hundreds.
And I believed it.
We reach for the pill or powder, but in the meantime are still stuffing our faces with all the wrong foods. I didn’t realise the reason I was failing on these diets was the mental battle within me.
How is any product, or even life, supposed to work if you don’t have a plan?
The minute we come to realise that obesity is about lifestyle, the faster these products will disappear from our lives.
And save us a fortune.
Dieticians and diet have to play the major role in the weight loss battle. There is no point going to a General Practitioner whose first point of call may be to suggest the latest weight loss product on the market.
Forget about those pills and powders and embrace the broccoli and salads.
Changing your eating habits will negate the use of anything to assist you in losing weight.
Get your mind into gear to lose weight, and it will happen easily.
